Q: Why is my new SSD not recognized by my PC after inserting it?

A: Most new SSDs come unallocated and must be initialized and formatted before first use. In Windows, right-click "Start" and select "Disk management" to find your drive and create a new partition. For macOS, use "Disk Utility."
